Hotel Group

The Grupo Sardinero name includes three hotels in Santander, the capital of the autonomous region of Cantabria where the Grupo Armando Álvarez comes from and where it has its Headquarters and important production centres. Read more

Complete logistic operator

Through the Tramesa company the Group has a logistic infrastructure that provides fast safe transport solutions for large volumes of goods by road, rail, and maritime transport, and when necessary container depots for just-in-time delivery. Read more

Timber and forestry activities

Through the Álvarez Forestal company the Grupo Armando Álvarez is involved in the management of forestry exploitation for the wood pulp industry and sawmills. The Group has a Timber Division that manufactures and markets semi-finished products (sawmill), pallets, and transport spools and DIY and carpentry products for distribution and the final market. Read more

Biomasa de Cantabria

The Grupo Armando Álvarez has a holding in the Biomasa de Cantabria company to provide two major sustainable solutions to various problems currently affecting Cantabria. On the one hand we have a deficit of electrical production in our autonomous region, and on the other we dispose of some 90,000 tons of forest waste per year that would create a fire hazard if not removed. We generate electricity in a sustainable manner.
